Isochrone curve
Table of contents
An isochrone curve (or isochrone zone) represents on a map all points reachable in the same travel time from a central point. Unlike an isometric circle (radius in km), the isochrone accounts for the actual road network, traffic, and transport modes to define a realistic catchment area.
Applications in geo-marketing
- Define the realistic catchment area of a point of sale (e.g., all points reachable in 10 minutes by car).
- Target ad campaigns to consumers actually likely to visit the store.
- Compare catchment areas across stores in a network.
- Identify white zones not covered by any point of sale.
At The Ramp, isochrone data enables precise targeting based on real travel time to each point of sale.
